About Paige's Book
Hi, I’m Paige, an online teacher, and mom to two girls.
I started Paige’s Book because of a simple realization: the techniques I use every day as a teacher are the same ones that make learning at home actually work the stuff that cuts down on fighting, keeps a five-year-old’s attention for more than ninety seconds, and turns “I don’t want to” into genuine curiosity.
Most parenting advice out there is either too generic to actually use, or written by someone with no classroom teaching experience at all. I wanted something different: real classroom techniques, explained plainly, from someone who uses them professionally and then tests them, imperfectly and honestly, on my own kids.
What you’ll find here
Real classroom techniques, applied at home. Not just theory actual strategies from teaching, broken down so you can use them tonight, whether that’s getting through homework without a meltdown or helping a distracted kid refocus.
Our Mandarin journey. My 5-year-old and I are learning Mandarin together. We are not heritage speakers and I’m not fluent either. Mandarin learning has become one of the best places to actually see teaching techniques in action, including a few surprises (like the time a Mandarin number accidentally taught her place value).
Honest, no-fluff family life. I’m not interested in performing perfect parenting or perfect teaching. This is a real family, figuring it out one day at a time.
A note on my family’s privacy
You’ll hear my daughters (A + E) far more than you’ll see them. I keep them off camera by choice you’ll see hands, hear voices, and follow their progress, without them being uploaded to the internet before they’re old enough to have a say in that. My husband S is also camera shy. 🙂
Why “Paige’s Book”
Because this is genuinely a running record — a book, in a sense — of what I’m learning as a teacher and as a mom, one page at a time.
If that sounds like your kind of family, stick around new videos and posts that go up regularly, and you can [join the email list] to get real classroom techniques sent straight to your inbox.
