Dear Readers,
I believe connection is everything. That is what life is all about! I am here to connect with all of you, to share in some inspiration, to learn, and to gain new insight on what it means to truly live fully in each day. But in order to connect to and leave a positive mark on the world around us, we must first be able to connect with ourselves. We must recognize the potential that already lies inside of us. There is immense power in you waiting to be used. The secret is allowing yourself to see it. It’s there, I promise. It’s realizing that life is here now, waiting for us to use it for something good, something remarkable. While I may be a 19-year old college freshman, I think I have some insight to share! I am certainly still learning, growing, and expanding every day. But hey, aren’t we all? I hope some of the things I’m learning can add to your life. If I can give you one new idea each week on how to be a better YOU, while living a well-balanced, inspired life, then mission accomplished :). Now, a little bit about where I began….
I was born and raised in the tight-knit, New England state of Connecticut. Growing up surrounded by two siblings, 35 extended relatives, and lifelong friends, I learned from an early age that our interconnectedness to the people around us is the most special gift there is. This value in my life only grew as I started playing Field Hockey and performing in Musical Theater, learning about what it means to be on a team; to contribute to something larger than myself. My passion for Personal Development really took off my Junior year of High School. That year I began to learn about my favorite Motivational Speakers and Coaches, while at the same time was taking a Leadership class in school. I not only learned transformative skills in leadership and personal development through this class, but I also learned the power in having a vision and making it come to life. Through this class I created an annual Leadership Development program for Middle School students in my hometown, Cheshire CT. With the collaboration and guidance from some amazing mentors, my passion grew even more profound. I realized that it was possible to take my passions and turn them into a lifestyle… perhaps even a career! That brings me to where I am now. I am a college student at The Pennsylvania State University, double majoring in Psychology and Corporate Innovation/Entrepreneurship. I hope to one day own my own business in the Coaching field (executive, life and/or leadership).
I love to write, I always have. I thought, why not start here? Among my favorite things are the ocean, musical theater, traveling, being active, and above all, spending time with the people I love- my family and friends. Thank you for being on this journey with me. Life is out there waiting. Let’s live it.
Love,
Paige
